Learn How Jessica, from the Unlikely Homeschool Blog, Manages to Homeschool Multiple Ages
I absolutely love this blog post about homeschooling various ages, written by Jessica from The Unlikely Homeschool. While reading it, I recalled homeschooling my daughter one day a few years back while my then 2 year old son was literally sitting on my shoulders playing with my head. Yup, that is right.
It really isn’t easy homeschooling during the super young years. That is why I am always surprised when people ask me if I am planning on homeschooling high school, in a voice that sounds like they are asking if I am planning on jumping off a mountain (without hang-gliding gear). Homeschooling the young years can definitely be most challenging. Especially when you have more than one age, let alone, I can only imagine, three to four different ages.
If you are in this boat, don’t give up. First of all, things get so much easier so quickly. Second of all, you are not alone. Trust in your path, trust that things will calm and become more settled, and enjoy all of those delightfully squishy days. Take deep breaths, drink a lot of tea, and read blogs written by others in the same boat, such as this post (click on following link) by Jessica from The Unlikely Homeschool.
